Best Druid PvP Spec 4.3 – By Danimaldan
Between all the specs right now I would say the best Druid PvP spec is between feral or restoration. Personally I think resto is a better spec overall. Resto druids have one the best crowd controls in the game (cyclone), and HoTs which makes them a very versatile healer.
Some people don’t know what talents to get for the best druid PvP spec; so I’ll briefly go over which talents to get and why.
Best Druid PvP Spec Breakdown
Restoration Talents
2/2 Natural Shapeshifter - I chose this talent because it increases tree of life from which is one of your best spells by 6 seconds and also reduces the mana cost of shapeshifting by 20% which is very important when you need to spam shift to get away.
1/1 Master Shapeshifter – This talent is great for value since it grants 4% more healing for just 1 talent point.
3/3 Heart of the Wild – A 6% increase in mana is very useful, and when you’re getting focused and you’re silenced 6% stam in bear form can save your life.
1/3 Perseverance – I chose this talent because 2% reduced spell damage taken is better than Blessing of the Grove. You need to take this talent to move further into the tree.
3/3 Improved Rejuvenation – This talent is a must-have for the best druid PvP spec because Swiftmend and Rejuvenation are some 2 of your main heals, and 15% makes a huge difference in both long and short fights.
3/3 Living Seed – 30% of your Swiftmend, NS healing touch or regrowth every crit is great, and helps a lot especially if you are under a lot of pressure.
2/2 Revitalize – Replenishment is good and 2% mana back helps over time keeping your mana up.
3/3 Nature’s Bounty – Nature’s Bounty is one of the best talents and makes your regrowth crit almost every time and with living seed it’s a great combo. You need to get this talent for the best druid PvP spec.
2/2 Malfurion’s Gift- Reduced cooldown on tranquility to 3 minutes which is great and omen of clarity is amazing. (Omen makes any casted healing spell cost zero mana)
1/1 Wild Growth - This heals for quite a lot, and it’s AoE, and can take a lot of pressure off against DoT teams.
3/3 Efflorescence – Heals for 12% of your swiftmend; helps if your partner is stunned and the healing flora is healing beneath your partner.
3/3 Gift of the Earthmother - 15% of healing done when your lifebloom blooms is amazing and rejuvenation heals 15% of total periodic effect. This talent is required for the best Druid PvP spec.
1/1 Nature’s Cure - Obviously a must-have; removes a magic debuff.
1/1 Swift Rejuvenation – Reduces the global-cooldown of one of your main healing spells.
1/1 Tree of Life - The main reason you’ve been putting all these talents into resto. One of the most powerful healing talents, and a must-have for the best druid PvP spec.
Feral Talents
3/3 Furor - This talent is great because I really like having 10 rage right when I go into bear form for a bash and the 15% maximum mana is really nice also.
Balance Talents
2/2 Nature’s Majesty - 4% crit on all spells is great for healing!
3/3 Nature’s Grace - 15% spell haste after a regrowth is really good when you are trying to cast cyclones on the other team.
1/2 Balance of Power - 50% of spirit is turned to spell hit which is really helpful so you don’t have to gem hit or reforge hit.
Best Druid PvP Spec – Glyphs
Most restoration druids use similar Glyphs, as their aren’t many good alternatives to choose from.
Prime Glyphs
Glyph of Lifebloom - 10% crit on lifebloom can make a big difference in healing in both short and long arenas.
Glyph of Rejuvenation – 10% healing on one of your main healing spells is amazing, and required for the best druid PvP spec.
Glyph of Swiftmend – Obvious choice; doesn’t remove your most powerful HoT when casting Swiftmend.
Major Glyphs
Glyph of Entangling Roots – 0.2 second reduced cast time on roots is extremely useful for CC’ing melee classes that are training your team mates.
Glyph of Frenzied Regeneration – This glyph can potentially save your life when you’re under heavy pressure.
Glyph of Barkskin – Minimizes the chances of you receiving a critical hit while barkskin is active. This glyph can easily change the outcome of a game, and is an obvious choice for the best druid PvP spec.
Minor Glyphs
Minor glyphs don’t really matter for PvP. Just use whatever you prefer. I use Glyph of Unburdened Rebirth, Glyph of Mark of the Wild, and Aquatic Form for RBGs.
